Dr. DeVito: Dr. DeVito is a band formed in the summer of '012, consisting of Jacob Ninomiya (Vocals, guitar), Justin Ramirez (Guitar), Ryan Forthman (Bass), and Chris Ramon (Drums). Brought together by a mutual love of sno-cones, the quartet blends the icy deliciousness of a sno-cone with psychedelic, Californian vibes to create Dr. DeVito.
In the small town of Darien, Connecticut, Jonny Schoen (lead singer & songwriter) and high school friend, the late Greg Hillman, began their music careers. Follow the Sun, the duo’s first band, represented long time aspirations of moving out West in an effort to leave suburbia behind. Throughout college, Jonny & Greg grew as musicians in separate bands but continued to collaborate on songs for Follow the Sun.
Tragically, in 2009, Greg took his own life after suffering from a mental illness disorder. To honor Greg and his vision, Jonny moved to Los Angles to pursue the band’s original goal of making music in California.
Jonny moved to Venice Beach in 2011 where Blue Blazer was formed. Blue Blazer, named after the uniform Jonny and Greg wore at their prep school in Darien, CT., explains a new found respect and sentiment for their hometown in the East while trying to make a name for themselves in the West.
Blue Blazer’s sound is influenced by an array of 90’s indie music combined with today’s more contemporary alternative rock. The memorable songs mixed and romantic lyrics make Blue Blazer the perfect combination to that ‘endless summer’ feeling.
Blue Blazer is currently signed with Fieldhouse Music, a subsidiary of BMG for TV and Film Placement and is in heavy rotation on various College Radio stations across the country.
The Face: The Face is an instrumental experimental rock band with psychedelic, trip hop and electronic elements.
