Description:
Join us Monday, August 13th for Hunnypot Radio #244 as we will be starting our new run at The Central :: Social Aid and Pleasure Club in Santa Monica.
As always there will be smoking hot DJ sets from Hunnypot tastemakers Hot Tub Johnnie and Boom Shack.
The move to The Central allows us to extend the show beyond 10pm and accommodate full live performances from 10pm - Close. We're very excited about this new transition and hope you all continue to share our excitement.
Our guest DJ is none other than veteran music industry tastemaker, James Leach (Vice President, Writer/Publisher Relation, West Coast Operations, SESAC). Leach began his music career at Famous Music Publishing before landing with ATV Music Group where he was eventually named Director of Creative Affairs. Upon leaving ATV, Leach formed Leach Entertainment Enterprises where he consulted for several indie labels and placed music recording projects in various film/television projects. Leach rejoined Famous Music Publishing and was responsible for signing current million-selling artist/producer AKON and also served as Music Consultant/Coordinator for the groundbreaking TV show, “New York Undercover” as well as serving as a Music Supervisor for Fox Television before joining SESAC in 2001.
Live performances by:
Travis Raab & Epic Jam an LA based guitarist, songwriter and musical director. Originally from Monerey, MA, Travis has performed on the Jay Leno Show and toured the U.S., Canada and Latin America, opening for artists such as The Black Eyed Peas and Tim McGraw. His collaborations have charted in the top 100 of the Country Music Row Charts, and have appeared on LA’s KROQ and HBO’s “How to make it in America“. As a regular performer in Las Vegas, he has backed up Jake Owen, John Rich, Mickey Gilley, and Cowboy Troy. Travis recently composed the music for the comedy ‘Tranny Trainer’, starring Sean Patrick Flannery.
Das Tapes are an LA electro-pop duo consisting of brothers Kevin and Mark Ignatius who will bring their dark, sexy and feverish synth driven pop experience to The Central stage. They will be doing an exclusive interview from the Hot Tub, followed by a live performance that will surely erupt into a wild dance party, so be ready to move and shake that thang! Check out the groups awesome music video for their smash party single "This Party".
hUH (Have U Heard) is an LA based electronic, urban/pop group that is the collaborative work of writer/vocalist Noah Lowman, electronic producer Devin Dilmore and emcee/producer Aaron Mostow. Their music is an experiment in song; part pop, part electronic, part hip hop, part bizarre. The boys will be joining us for special live performance and interview from the Hot Tub.
